Has anyone succesfully completed an iMac G4 ATX hack? I can't find the pinouts anywhere. I found a couple zombie threads:

The first seems to imply it is possible, though does not leave me with a clear idea of how to do it. Eeun, do you still have the pinout you offered iantm? I'd like to see it if you do!

Seems to contain a partial pinout, however, mentions a blue and white line that are unknown. Does anyone know what they really are?

Which is a basic how-to for an eMac ATX hack, among other things. Does anyone know if the emac and imac share a common PS pinout?

Any ideas? I'd appreciate any input offered. I'll probably just try it with the eMac pinout, the worst that will happen is my already-dead iMac will continue to be dead.
I never got past that point of my post of that old thread. ended up flipping the iMacs without ever charting the PSU further.
It was the apparent always-on status of the iMac PSU that had me confounded.
I'm hoping to get a couple more to tinker with, but that'll depend on when my usual source decides to purge them...between one week and two years from now
Were you able to get one running off ATX? I'm not looking for anything elegant, I don't mind having to use soft and hard power, I just want to get this iMac working.

No, never did. I ended up getting the existing supply working properly, so it was no longer necessary.
What was wrong with it? Perhaps mine needs the same fix.

Bad memory on one, bad thermal interface between CPU/heat pipe/case.
With the thermal issue, the iMac had apparently been sent out a few times for servicing, and came back each time with more thermal grease between the heat pipe and chassis, but they never touched the CPU interface.
Thanks for the help, however I am pretty sure that mine has got a very dead power supply... I will just have to try this hack and see what happens
