Need a program to simply convert the audio in mp4 files to mp3

I know there’re many such programs, but too complicated. I need to choose between many different Profiles, which confuse me a lot. I just need to convert mp4 files downloaded to mp3, so I can play them with my mp3 player on my way to company. Who can recommend me such a program, can output mp3 files and no complicated functions?

I've found that if you burn your mp4's to disk using itunes, and then reimport, they are no longer mp4's. I think it automatically converts them. Sorry, I'm too new at this to give you much other detail. Good luck!

That works as long as you burn them as an audio CD and your rip/import setting is for MP3.

MP4 to MP3 Converter in MP4Co

MP4 to MP3 Converter in MP4Converter.net (just for Windows) is easy to use, I thought its function is too simple, but it happens to be the one u need, u can free download and try it.
I always use MP4 Converter, Mac version and Windows version, with comprehensive functions, it’s also easy-to-use, if u work under Mac, u may want to consider this program, I think it’s good

Just a note...

...to all Applefritter posters.

There are a few users here who have signed up within the last 5 weeks or so that seem to be posting questions about, then answers to, video and audio conversion that all centres around this mp4converter.net thing.

It actually started months back with new users posting conversion "guides" that were spammed across different forums.

For instance, the poster above, itsu, has posted in two previous threads on Apr. 27 asking where to find this program, and now above - just three days later - says that's what he/she always uses.

I've passed along my concerns to bdub and Tom. Be your own judge but take any recommendations made for this product with a grain of salt.

I, for one, won't look at any product which uses underhanded methods to advertise.

Oh, hey, good to know, thanks

Once upon a time I used software to convert my files, but ultimately just found it easier to burn and reimport. I couldn't remember the name of it at the time of my last post, but I just remembered it. It's called JHymn. It's been a while, at least a few years, since I used it, and I don't think it was terribly intuitive at the time. But if I figured it out, I'm sure anyone can, just read the documentation on thier site thoroughly.
