ok, something a bit complicated this time. this is what i need:
i've got a macbook 13,3", mac os x 10.4 with latest updates. what i need would be a method how to get the macbook to boot into the startup disk selection menu (the one you get by pressing the alt button on startup) EVERYTIME it boots. so, when you press the power button (and nothing else) you will get the selection menu everytime.
is anybody here that has a solution to this?
thks, christian
If you're at a screen that requires user input anyway...why do you want a single button press to be avoided? It's not like it hurts or something.
Alternately invest in tape.
...in our shop. i want it to go into the menu on every startup, because then i can select between mac os and win. as you can see tape is not my favourite solution here
i know that it was possible on powermacs by changing a value in open firmware, but i have lost the instructions and i'm not sure if they would even work on an intel mac.
no, the efi firmware and the open firmware are waaaay too different for a crack for OF to work in efi.
ok, it was not planned to use the same of crack. but does anyone know if there is a way to achieve the same results on an intel mac with efi???
http://refit.sourceforge.net/
yeah, i guess thats enuff... it does even more what i need!!!
thx for your help!
