Which is pretty straightforward… Is something not working correctly for you?

Yes you can print to a printer. Your comment does actually decribe what you want to print. Under normal circumstances when you produce artwork for fabrication you produce separate image files for each fabrication layer in the manufacturing process of the printed circuit board. The contruction of such decriptions is done in the "Construct Fabrication Tooling" command located in the ART Menu. You will note that there are two Composite tooling lists. If you wish to print an X-Ray view of the board then you will find that definition in the "CheckPrint Tooling" List since one would never manufacture such a definition.
When you wish to print you need to select which list you wish to be displayed Fabrication or CheckPrint. You then select which tools will be printed. The tools are defined in the "Contruct ... " commands.
One last thing. You are in the Layout module. There is no Schematic Artwork Option in this software module. You will be outputting Layout documents.
Sorry, I thought you were talking about McCAD Shematics, not PCB-ST.
