Hey!
We all LOVE the B&W Macintoshes.
What was your favorite game for that?
And what are your reminisences about it?
Mine?
I can't think of one right off, but I thought it'd be a cool topic to start, anyway!

This game is ONLY good on the Macintosh Plus (and possibly earlier, but I don't know it it works on them) due to the mouse being nice and heavy. I remember playing this when we only had the Plus (till about 1997). It was a real treat when my dad let me use it because he kept it in his office (in the attic) and I was not usually allowed to use it.
Without a doubt!
Prince of persia, and Glider.
I love glider! I am using them on system 7.5.3 but I think they work on that version.
That game was awesome cause you could get your man squished, your man and the carrige driver squished, or your man and the horse squished. Someone put a lot of thought into that game.
Hey!
Now that I've given it some thought, I'd say....
1] "Through The Looking Glass"
Unbelieveably beautiful packaging & the
PERFECT mix of arcade twitchery & mind-straining elements.
PLUS cool Easter Eggs! "Holiday In Cambodia...." *ahem*
2] "Fokker TriPlane"
A *way* cool vektorgrafik WWI flight sim featuring said aircraft.
3] "Trust & Betrayal"
An icon-based politico/strategic offering. But don't let that
dissuade you! I LOATH those types of "games", but I LOVED this!
And it's quite beautiful to look at.
4] "Fool's Errand"
Monochrome artistry at it's finest. It's almost 20 years old
& STILL some haven't finished it! Get it FREE [courtesy of the
game's creator] here > www.fools-errand.com

where can you download/get some of these games? I'd love to play them! I have two favorite games that I played on my cousin's macintosh, but I don't know the name of them. One, which I think is Glider, is a game where you direct a paper airplane around in vairous rooms avoiding obstacles.
But my absolute favorite was this black and white helicopter game. It had very simple, but very mac-ish graphics. You start on a carrier in an apache type helicopter and fly around and blow up stuff. When you die, you hear a recording of some hippy dude say, "Oh man... Game over..." Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
I'd do anything to find that game

i think the greatest game for the old B/W macs is crystal quest - on "newer" 68k macs the game is to fast and very difficult to play.
for newer colour 68k´s the best game is lemmings. these nice, little, stupid guys running straight on and burn themselves or fall into the water... - great.
Zorgitron, I'm pretty sure you're referring to Apache Strike, which I believe I have. You flew around between buildings and fought tanks; for some reason never explained, your helicopter couldn't go above the buildings. I loved that game! I should go see if it still works...
