- Started using Motorola 6800 development kits in the mid 1970s to learn assembly language programming and start of electronics hobby and career. Used various computers from IBM 029 keypunch machines and mainframes up through exascale supercomputers in support of geophysics career modeling earthquakes and earth system dynamics. Electronics skills used fielding/supporting earthquake sensors around the globe. Data recovery and preservation of scientific datasets stored on legacy / obsolete media.
- Interests
- Restoring vintage computers from the 1970s through 1980s utilizing the 6800 and 6502 processors. Apple I reproductions, Apple IIs, and a wide range of 6800 machines SWTPc, HealthKit, Wintek, Motorola Exorciser development systems. Paper tape reader/punches, 8” floppies, 5 1/4” floppies. Document archiving and preservation in addition to hardware preservation.
