When i was playing movies off the internet they either played in black and white or lines of color but it was mostly black and white. I can't get a movie to play in color. can someone please help me figure this out . any help would be appriecaited.

I put OS 9.2.2 on my iMac 233MHz,and I played videos(from the hard drive),so it isnt an internet problem.I cant remember what I did,It was last month.Try Reinstalling QuickTime.I dont know if I did this,BUT it stopped at one point.Wait about a couple of days,it might turn on and off,but itll dissapear.Lemme know what happens!!!
are you running at thousands of colors, or millions of colors?
Try changing resolutions, or chaning the level of colors. try 256 colors also.
If your still having the problem after that, then try reinstalling with 9.0 or 9.1, first trying the default quicktime, and then quicktime six.
Lastly, if it still does it even with the old version(s) then try other video programs, it may very well be a hardware problem at that point.(I had a laptop at one point that worked perfectly fine exept with animated things/video. the problem was barely noticeable untill you played something)
i am running at millions of colors. ok I will try what you said and will keep you posted
Just now I tryed playing a quicktime movie and all is well. I didn't change any settings or anything. hopefully it should stay like this. i'll let you guys know if I have any more problems
Thanks,
Spenser
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I had this problem in panther also but it mysteriousely dissapeared like this did.
