Screen Capture LC475 using Retrotink 5x

Hey, I need to screen capture my LC475, which is using a VGA adapter. I have a RetroTink 5X, but it has no VGA in.

Does anyone have any experience with using a VGA2SCART Sync Converter? It would appear to be the missing link?

A totally different idea

A totally different idea might be to put a VGA->HDMI converter on the VGA converter and then use an HDMI video capture device.  Both of those are under $20 each and readily available.  I don't know where you are, but here in the US anything SCART is rare/obscure, because it was basically never sold/used over here.  I understand it is more common in Europe/UK.

Thats a good idea. I have found my VGA2SCART adapter, searched high and low for it, but I guess this is a good opportunity to try out a VGA to HDMI converter, I see they are very cheap. Hopefully the one I order will not suck. Im in the UK btw, so SCART was a thing here ;)

I kinda figured you might be in the UK or Europe because you mentioned SCART.  Few Americans have even heard of it.  I've had really good luck with VGA->HDMI converters, I have several bought from either Amazon or Aliexpress and even the cheapest ones seem to produce good results.  I haven't tried an HDMI video capture device yet but I am super curious about them.

I FINALLY found the VGA2SCART

I FINALLY found the VGA2SCART device, it actually says powered by RetroTink on it, and yet... I cant get it to work. RetroTink says it has no input, which is odd as its defo semi working. To test it I plugged the VGA into the VGA2SCART and then the SCART into a HD SCART TV I have, it produced an image, though it was rolling. So yeah... odd. I have the VGA to HDMI adapter ordered, should be here tommorow, I think it will be a simpler solution all round.
