Ive got a quick question, and im not sure whether or not this is the right catagory or not, but i need to convert a vga signal to s-video or composite. i know that they exist, but would anybody have any suggestions? i would like it to be external, but someting pci would work too. thanks!!!

If the machine you're dealing with has a swappable video card you're probably better off getting one with TV/S-video output built in, of course. Most cards have these days. I recently bought an Nvidia GeForce 6 card that had VGA, DVI, *and* a multifunction port/octopus cable arrangement that supports composite/S-Video/and HDTV Component output for less then $50.
(Which is now driving a Sony HDTV via through a DVI-HDMI cable, so I didn't actually need the fancy TV-out support, but it's still neat to have gotten so cheaply.)

Oh, yeah. In terms of specific recommendations/suggestions long ago I used an Antec "TVator Exec", and it did a decent job.
