I have aquired an extended keyboard II for my IIgs, and have a couple of questions. It is in great shape, and I only paid $15 for it, and it included a mouse and a long ADB cable, so it was a good deal. I have found a couple of problems, though. The enter key on the numeric keypad works intermittently. I think I might try to take it apart and clean it, any suggestions or tutorials? Another thing is that none of the leds work. It has a caps lock, num lock, and scroll lock led. None of them seem to work. I did a search, and found one article that said "most" of them don't work on the IIgs, but does anyone know which ones, if any, should work? So far that is the only issues I've found. It seems like the keys labeled with dual functions, don't do what they say, and I've tried using shift, control, option, and open apple, and they do nothing, but work fine with their original function with no other key (shift, control, etc.) pressed. This may be normal on the IIgs using this keyboard, I'm not sure.
Thanks in advance.
Assuming that the keyboard lights are functional, you need a ROM 3 IIgs to see the lights work, because it has the ADB controller chip to toggle those lights.
These keyboards are so old nowadays; there's a lot of dust and hand grime (WASH YOUR HANDS!!!) in them, which makes the keys stop working after some years of disuse.
I seem to remember an NDA that would make the lights work. May have it on one of my hard drives. Maybe it was an inint, CDA or Finder extra. That sort of thing really needs a HD or you have to load the GS/OS system disk with it on it.
I have a CFFA3000 that I use as a HD, and GSOS loads from it.
A little looking around and I found it was an init.

Been a while since D/L a BSQ. Not that hard, but have not done one in the last 13 years or so.
