I mentioned Applefritter's "pillar of corporate stability" slogan from the footer to ex-parrot the other day, and he said it wasn't there. Checking the wayback machine, I see that I inadvertantly removed it during a site update in 2002. Sorry about the temporary mix-up. It's back now.
I also removed all the trademark acknowledgements from the footer, since it seems like nobody does that anymore. I'll update this thread if I get sued.
I would replace "© 1999-2999 Tom Owad" either with "© 1999 Tom Owad" or "© 1999-2023 Tom Owad", since individual copyright extend for the life of the author plus an additional 70 years. Even though it might be possible for you to live until 2929, it would be absolutely impossible for anyone to know this date at present.
I appreciate your optimism. We'll have to re-evalute this when I die.
You may have to add that to your will if you want it to happen. I think they'll be grabbing for my stuff before I'm cold.
