Does anyone have the external card enclosure for a Laser 128? We need to get one (as a tax-deductible donation for the Vintage Computer Federation museum) or at least get enough pictures/details to replicate it. We are making a Lego programming station for kids/parents and we chose to base it around the Laser because it's small (like a //c) but has the necessary card slot (like a //e). Works fine with a card directly in the slot where the enclosure would attach, but we can't have the card fully exposed like that for kids to (ahem) POKE at.

Problem solved.
I needed a way to protect the Lego card from curious fingers. Without the Laser 128 eenclosure device the card just hangs off the side of the computer. No good.
Michael Mulhern (via Facebook) humorously suggested I could make the enclosure out of Lego. I thought that was a fine idea.
So here's what I did today:

Satellite dish is, of course, non-functional...
The whole top comes off for card/cable access. I might hinge it.
The enclosure is highly functional and good for a laugh.
About the self-adhesive velcro attaching it to the computer: I felt bad doing it, because I spent so much time cleaning the case, but I needed a quick/easy way to attach the enclosure and also remove it. I know that GooGone will come to the rescue when I someday need to remove the adhesive.
That is too cool! Sometimes, the solution to the problem is right in front of your face!
Thanks for sharing.
Even though i love the lego idea, i do have one if you are still interested.
Thanks

Here is the Lego version I made.

Lego satellite dish is how the data transfers. :)
Inside of the box is open for card to connect to the computer; rear has a slot for the card's ribbon cable to exit to the Lego interface box.
