Hi,
I am wondering if the software for this card exists anywhere?
I don't have one, but came across the details for it on the Applebox website while looking for info on other 6809 Apple II cards. This one looks nice with its onboard 64k of memory.
Thanks
Rob
Hello Rob,
this card was recommended to use OS9.
That is the same OS also used with stellation II the mill 6809 card.
The diskimages are availiable at:
http://mirrors.apple2.org.za/Apple%20II%20Documentation%20Project/Interface%20Cards/CPU/Stellation%20Two%20The%20Mill%20-%206809/Disk%20Images/
and information about that alternate 6809 card is 1 level above at:
http://mirrors.apple2.org.za/Apple%20II%20Documentation%20Project/Interface%20Cards/CPU/Stellation%20Two%20The%20Mill%20-%206809/
The advantage of the IBS card is that it does not demand a piggyback card
for remapping the memory of the Apple II - it has it´s own memory on the
card itself and by that is more comparable to Z80 plus cards to be valued as
a complete independent CPU subsystem that only shares the printer, video and
storage devices like the disk drives.
But in fact IBS also offered a alternate OS for the 6809 card called FLEX.
This was a concept of a portable OS also for other cards and use with crossassemblers.
Even today there is a community that keeps care of that OS at:
http://www.flexusergroup.com/flexusergroup/fug4.htm
and at:
http://www.flexusergroup.com/flexusergroup/fug11.htm
some of the source codes are availiable too at:
http://www.evenson-consulting.com/swtpc/Downloads.htm
another source for info´s is at:

Thanks Speedy,
I was thinking they would not have worked for it. I'll take a closer look at the manual for it and see if it looks possible.
Do you know if any of the disks are around for any of the other IBS CPU cards? ( ie 68000)

Hello Rob,
yep...
but the problem is locating them....
IBS sold thousands of cards in Europe.....
very many former members of the AUGE ( Apple User Group Europe )
have different kind of stuff from IBS in their vaults....
the problem:
when in the late 80´s and early 90´s that members left the community
they still kept moving around and changing adresses and in that days
nobody thought about keeping at least the adressing lists up to date
even from members that left the community....
So nowadays that adressinglists have nearly no value at all...
But some guys from the former community still are trying to track down
former members and track down the contents of their storages....
Some stuff has been located for the 68000 card for example....
but it´s a timeeating procedure....

Hello,
The zip file at https://archive.org/download/AppleII_PeripheralsIBS_AP10_6809Card
contains a disk image and manual for the AP10.

It's too bad that these cards the IBS one or the Stellation rarely come up for sale. I wish someone would make a re-creation of them. I always wanted one back in the day but never had the $$$
Thanks for sharing the link, and great to see the software and documention preservered for this card.
/Rob
I have ported the FLEX OS to run on AP10.
