I was thinking of how to rejuvenate this incredible machine that are the Apple II ahd macintosh cases in general. I have made this with Amiga machine 1200/600 and Commodore 64 and a keyboard interface and raspberry pi with the original case and keyboard you can see this at my homepage www.mattechnology.blogspot.com. After haveing installed and working the Apple II and Macintosh Plus emulator inside my raspbian distro i have thought of a solution to use the old case and it's possible for the Apple II makeing an ASCII to USB interface for the keyboard and for the Macintosh it is possible with an ADB female to USB that is also commerced by griffin with the name imate. So the possibility are endless seeing how many broken macintosh ahd Apple II are in the people garage adding only a raspberry pi and the right emulator you can have again the old stilish machine but also use a new raspbian system at your needs to browse internet etc. We will see!

I have compiled also a Lisa emulator in raspbian and it works, i havent tested the system because of lack of roms (i m not so luky to own a Lisa) so we have three working emulators ( Apple II, Macintosh i think with the system limit of 7.5 and a Lisa emulator).;-)
This is a nice experiment made with an ipad and imate apple extended keyboard:

Dear SpeedyG,
This is intended only for the broken one! I still like old Apple and Macintosh.
This is the nice interface to connect the APPLE II ASCII KEYBOARD TO USB Computers and it's called Keyduino:

Enjoy! :mac:
Toolkitman, have you checked out Raspple II?
http://ivanx.com/rasppleii/
I've used it as the base install for my home server on a Pi model B, since I still use Appletalk over ethernet with a few older Macs.
It's quicker to use the pre-fab Raspple image than to install plain Raspbian then Samba, Netatalk, etc.
I'm not using the Apple II components beyond networking, but from what I've read it's a darned impressive experience.
nice eeun!
just downloding it! Dose it works also without the Apple II Pi card? just got it this is the keyboard interface!!! great!!!
thanks
I'm no expert on it, but Dave Schmenk or others here could probably answer that.
