So for some reason the SOUND icon under control panel is not showing up anymore when I open the control panel from GSOS. If I navigate to the System folder, then CDevs, I can find the SOUND module there. If I run it from the CDevs folder it opens... but when I pick any event to choose a sound for, it will say "not assigned" and when I try to choose one to populate it with it will give me a blank menu with no choices. How do I fix this? its weird and annoying. I tried reinstalling the sound module from the install disk, this didnt fix it.

Apple-I on the Sound CDEV and make sure you didn't accidentally check it as Inactive at some point.
No it wasnt inactive, but I dont know why it wouldnt work. I just did a clean install and its fine now. I was hoping it was an easy fix but it was taking far longer than just reloading the machine would have taken.
