Many of those titles are rarely if ever seen on eBay (I know, I watch constantly)
Some may be more common in people's collections than others but they are still (for the most part) less common (or actually RARE!!!) than the vast majority of
titles (and ones with disk and manual) typically seen on eBay.
More power to him!
Zan
akochera and Zan,
He's not laughing.
All of the money he makes goes to charity.
Yes, he is getting some of the prices he is asking,
but a lot of items are going untouched because
they have no software with them.
A single card or 5 page manual without the software for $200.00
is just too much.
But... That is just my opinion.
If he sells everything for a good cause more power to him.
Steven
While seemingly high, those prices are typical. And I've been offered similar for like material in my collection.
Hey Steven,
You know all those items you bought from me? I guess they're worth a lot more than I thought! If you ever go to sell them, make sure to add "This item came from an Emmy Award winning TV engineer who worked on many shows including Soap, General Hospital, and Barney Miller. It was a rare evaluation item provided for review in his Hardtalk column in the iconic Softalk Magazine."
That should greatly increase its value.
From this http://www.ebay.com/itm/28175700970
Rapidly to these

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-IIe-Ramworks-III-256K-RAM-Memory-card-Applied-Engineering-Works-/161779502241
I purchased the computer and resold the cards to make money back... How this is anyone's business is beyond me. The prices are not even laughable.
Jeff,
LOL
I don't plan on selling anything that I have bought from you past or future.
Oh yes. I'm in a bit of a financial slump right now as I just started work again
and a few bills are getting taken care of,
but I still have my eyes on several of your items.
I plan on getting a few extra bucks in the bank and then I'll come callin'.
Steven
PS How is the IIc CFFA project coming?
Transwarp,
I was looking at the cards you have up...
I believe I bought one this evening.
Nope. The prices you have them listed for are pretty close to normal.
If yours is the Accelerator Card at $175.00
that's pretty close to what I've seen on eBay lately.
My opinion
I feel you there. I need the money, so I buy decent deals if I come across them. Then I resell the valuable bits & keep the parts... the parts get added to my parts bin, which is basically just a giant hoard stash lol.
Edit: Yes, the accelerator is mine.
Transwarp,
Nope, wrong card.
But now I know exactly who you are. lol
I've bought a few items from you before (me252).
dwgarland is another seller I have bought from.
You guys have a good selection of parts.
Steven
Oh, small world!
Seriously.....
It's not even the rare factory VTR version which doesn't need a modulator.

Just noticed iPhone duplicate posting...

Yup.
Why buy a Motherboard for $500.00
when I can get a whole unit for $50.00?
Read the description...http://www.ebay.com/itm/Signed-Apple-IIgs-Steve-Wozniak-Woz-Desktop-Computer-Complete-w-Monitor-Keyboard-/131569772899

Things like these make me all warm and fuzzy inside. Imagine what they'll go for in 5 more years from now!
Unfortunately that pricing for a mini manual combined with a redbook might be right on the money. An original Mini manual is very very rare. Might even be as rare as original Apple-1 documentation.
I have a mini manual in somewhat rough but intact shape. Anyone seriously interested in it?
That and the 032 S/N disk drive (which went for over 4k) were just amazing.
I figured the paperwork would go for a lot knowing it is not a common thing but holy cow I could not believe that drive went for so much!!
Zan
I'll see about posting some pictures in the forum. A couple of people have expressed interest.
Golden cable... At least, the shipping is free !
amauget,
Yup! Must be either Gold or Platinum. lol
Now check this one out:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171887350740?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
These 3.5 inch disks are Platinum too. lol
Steven
Ohmigod. Makes me wish I had squirreled away a crate or two for sale now
I am also puzzled by this one - anybody have any thoughts why it's going for $2500.00 (so far)?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Apple-II-Apple-2-A2S1-35225-Apple-W-Expansion-cards-Rare-L-K-/191654266981?hash=item2c9f7c0865
A2S1-35225 in filthy condition, unknown if it boots, or if keyboard works, etc.
Looks to be a Rev 3 or Rev 4 motherboard (date code 7941), and it does have the ROM card and an Apple clock card that I can see. But still, that's a crazy price unless I am missing something... (No offense intended if you are the seller)
No raised power light, etc.
Jennifer
Do these ever exceed $25.00 ??
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-II-Flight-Simulator-II-/271953525226?hash=item3f51b179ea
How about $25,000?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/FACTORY-SEALED-UNOPENED-Apple-iPhone-1st-Generation-8GB-Black-AT-T-/111698045552?hash=item1a01b8ea70
Enough said.
c
I'm with you Jennifer, Is this guy bidding on his own item? I must be missing something.
The II (not-plus) isn't all that rare anymore. They're showing up on ebay much more frequently compared to 2 or 3 years ago.
I had a 1st generation iPod I sold for 8 grand back in 2012. So the $25,000 iPhone is reasonable to the right buyer. Or flunky.
Maybe if prices come within reason, I'll get myself one.

That 3500 Apple II+ is back up..
That 3500 Apple II+ is back up..
This seller doesn't have a clue... He has a "hand-numbered logic board"
"...Because of the value associated with hand numbered logic board runs, I have not included a pic of that detail. This decreases the chances of someone copying the strokes for fraud..."
http://www.ebay.com/itm/231649575569?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
mi2k,
Yup.
I told him about that and was told that I did not have a clue about the "Secrets of the Hand Numbered Boards".
I about rolled out of my chair laughing my ass off.
LOL
Steven
And it sold with no further bids. Will be interesting to see if it magically reappears with a lower price...

I have seen many things on eBay the last 20 years, but THIS???
And the Seller wants the winner to personally fly to his location to pick up the unit.
No Shipping.

THIS IS Laughable!
Steven

http://www.ebay.com/itm/161804039498?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I just lost a bid on one of these about two weeks ago.
They must have a warehouse full. lol
Steven
That seller needs to get his pictures & description straight before he gets in trouble... his first picture is of a Mark Twain prototype apple //gs. Yet the rest of his photos are of regular apple //gs computers. I think he just copied & pasted photos of apple //gs's he found from a google search lol.
Hopefully a collector doesn't bid a bunch of money on it thinking it is actually a Mark Twain prototype.
school_girl_in_a_short_dress has been known to sell some high-priced atari VCS and classic game cartridges. Some were even re-pros I believe or had funny stuff done with the labels and stickers.

Well I dunno about you folks, but this one almost caused me to fall out of my chair...
"Instant Apple II+ collection of 295 different programs mostly games IIe,IIc,IIgs"
Starting bid only a mere $33,960.00 with a buy it now of "just" $44,175.00...
Yikes.

"Well I dunno about you folks, but this one almost caused me to fall out of my chair..."
A friend called me a couple days ago and pointed this listing out to me...had the same reaction you did. I always thought buying in bulk at least got you a bit of a discount! With a minimum bid you end up paying roughly $115.12 per item....what a deal for who knows what you are actually getting
Glad I Got the bulk of my collection when prices were still reasonable in early 2000.
