How about a paler blue for the links, e.g. more teal, less blue?
Dark gray for the 'Submit - Members - Contact' text in the top right corner?

It looks a lot cleaner. I like it. I'm thinking perhaps the way to go is to make the main index an introductory page with all the categories and an easily apparent navigation, and then have a news page, which would basically be applefritter.com/sandbox

I was thinking the way to go was keeping the existing front page, and adding the login to that page.

Ok I just fixed what I found to be an annoying little bug where the page wouldn't fit no matter how big you made your browser window and in turn always showed a bottom scroll bar. That was bugging me. Did I mention this code is a mess?

What browser are you using? I think that is an internet explorer issue as it looks fine in Safari and Firebird.

How about a paler blue for the links, e.g. more teal, less blue?

Either it needs a ---- after the 'Posted' text to put a horizontal line in, or a line break.

And whilst I'm complaining how about a different border on the replys, I'm not wild about the black dashed line. Once again pale gray would be a better compromise - either as a solid line or as 1px dotted

Re: Reply Formatting

After remembering that it's all CSS driven the stylesheet just needs editing to increase the bottom padding on the .author tag. The alternative would be to increase top padding on the .content assuming that it's reply specific and won't be applied across the rest of the site.

Very reminiscant of The 'Fritter (the magazine). Nice, but I prefer the XSilver theme (even though it isn't really finished).

Eh, I like the interface, and the better conversation threading.

is it possible to alternate reply colours from pale grey to a darker shade of pale gray, and do away with the border? (I'm not good with CSS yet or I'd volunteer)

anyway, I think that'd make it easier to read.
