getting music and movies to lg chocolate

well i just got my brand new chocolate and i must say i love it. now i'd like to attempt to get at least part of my music library into it. i've read so far that the only way to do this with os x is by using an sd card reader to put the music files directly on the sd card. i'm assuming that is the only way to do this now? if that's the case, what kind of music and movie filetypes does it take? i'd also be interested in trying to make copies of my movies in reduced resolutions and putting them on the phone.

well i discovered something i

well i discovered something interesting. i can view my pictures, videos, and sounds folders using bluetooth file transfer. i managed to get a song into the sounds folder and listen to it, but that is entirely different from the actual music capability. it plays, but not though the mp3 player app and without any of the advantages. i wonder if file transfer could see any sd card i put into the phone...

Get an SD card reader

My advice...
Get an SD card reader.

Staples carries a nice multi-card reader (SmartMedia / xD, CF, MicroDrive, MMC / SD, and MemoryStick) for under $20. This way, you could put the music files onto an SD card, and could use the phones music app.

i've read that too and that's

i've read that too and that's probably what i'll do. i figure if bluetooth can't see the sd card, it won't be much more effort just to use a card reader.

I use an SD card reader for my chocolate and it works great. You can use certain programs to convert music video's and movies and put them on your phone. BitPim is a great utility for the chocolate phone too.
