the processor for my wallstreet arrived yesterday. i installed it, and it works fine, but i've noticed something that wasn't happening before the old processor burned out. the computer often refuses to wake from sleep now, and i've noticed that the sleep light flashes very quickly. that, and the power light sometimes just stays on when i first plug it in. i'm wondering if all of this is in any way related to the new processor. i don't see why since it's the exact same speed as the old one, and i made very sure it was seated on the logic board. any resets i should run it through?

Are you sure the processor is from the same model Wallstreet as yours? The newer ones have a L2 cache that the older ones didn't I believe. Did you do the reset on the back of the Powerbook? Fn+Shift+Ctrl+Power?
i did the pmu reset when i first installed the processor, and i think i've done it twice since. the processor should be compatible. the original was a 250mhz as is the new one. since the second generation wallstreet didn't come in that speed, it has to be from the first generation as my computer is. that shouldn't be an issue at all. it could also be related to my pram battery since it's been dead for a long time. i have no idea how that could affect the pmu, but it's messed with other things before.
