was wondering if its only good for an ethernet card all alone or is there possible some other (even rare too) use for this slot?

Hey,
Not that I can find or remember. You can put a TV card in the 6x00 and use it as a TV and if you connect a VCR that will act as a TV tuner to change channels and play VHS movies. But ... the TV card will cover the LC PDS slot and a LC PDS will cover the slot for the TV card so you can't do both. There's also a comm slot for a modem.
you can throw an Ethernet in it too IIRC. At least, i could do that on the LC 630 Dos that I had.
I looked a bit more out of curiousity and...have anyone even seen any of the several different dos card working in a performa at all?
hmmm now...that could be interesting...may have to attempt to rename the system to "6300CD/DOS" just for the humor of it heheheheh
There was all sorts of stuff made for the LC PDS slot. Everything from video cards and audio/MIDI cards, to Ethernet cards, to processor upgrades. The Comm. Slot, as far as I know, could only use an internal modem or ethernet card.
