Video Resolution File in OS X

My Beige G3 is hooked up to a KVM with my PC and an IBM monitor, which doesn't like 75hz Mac refresh rates. I had VNC start up automatically when the machine boots into classic, so I changed the refresh rate to 60hz, which works fine on the monitor. My question is: Is there a file that holds the video resolution settings in OS X? VNC doesn't start automatically in OS X, so I can't change it that way.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I finally broke down and reconnected the Apple monitor to change the resolution settings, and then reconnected the IBM monitor. It's all working now.

Thanks,
