Help

I would try reinstalling the drivers for the combo drive. Is that too PC sounding? Are you able to write to them within your Burner Software? Have you tried a different brand of blanks? Some are formatted different.

Good Luck, Jay.

"recognize" = what?

How are you expecting your iBook to recognize the blank media? Did it used to pop up a notice in the Finder asking what to do with it? If so, maybe those prefs got changed to "When you insert a blank CD -Ignore-"? Those settings can be found here -> System Preferences -> Hardware -> CDs & DVDs.

Did you try burning something using iTunes or Toast? If so, was the app able to see the blank disk?
