Can anyone recommend a UK source for 30 colour-coded ribbon cable for the Takky mod? My local electronics shop doesn't do ribbon cable and I don't really want to have to get a 5 metre reel of the stuff for this single project. Does anyone know of other online electronics suppliers who do shorter lengths or other sources for ribbon cable?

I'd try Maplin (unless you've tried them already). If there's no luck there then try Farnell or RS Components. I usually find that if one of them doesn't have it then you can't get it in the UK
