I have a 3 month old iBook G4 12" 1GHz, and along the bottom edges near the screen there is a dirty light cracking that seems to have occured under the outer case(ie paint). Has anyone else had this problem? I carry the laptop in a Crumpler bag regularly, so I doubt it's a lack of protection. Also, the plastic on the right side of the screen seems to be warped a bit so that it's a bit wavey and doesn't sit flush aganst the other piece. And if anyone knows anything on having the bettery sit flush would be nice. I really appreciate any help. Thanks.

Call apple, that should be covered by warranty.
I agree on the contacting apple. It would appear to be a manufacturing fault so they should fix or replace it. One of my friend has had similar problems with his 3/4 month old 14" iBook but has done nothing about it as yet (although that should be fixed soon as he ripped out the ethernet port and is getting that repaired soon). He seems to be more unfortunate however as his trackpad is coming up too... that guy has no luck
Mine is also a bit warped along the edges of the screen, but I have never really worried about it. As for the cracking, the G4 isn't painted, so it can't be that, I'd say call Apple.
