My Daughter resently passed away. Prior to her death she purchased an Apple IBook 64, which I found when going through her room. How do I get into her system without her password. Can I reload the system software, will that bypass her security logon?

You can use and earier model mac with firewire and use OS 9 to retreive the files on the iBook by putting the iBook in target mode and the other in OS 9. OS 9 pays no attention to OS X permissions
I'm a Dos OS user. Never worked on Mac system, so don't know what your
solution is saying. Where do I find an OS9?
OS 9 won't work on it as it does not accept it as a bootable OS. However... I am in the Data recovery business and If you are interested in this... If you send me the iBook, I could retrieve the info and send it back to you with it on a CD / original clean install. I have tons of supplies to help me do this. I will do this free of charge seeing as you are going through hard times. You would have to pay S/H and I will provide the disks and whatever services are needed. I have several clients you could talk to to verify that I am of trustworthiness. Please PM me.. me I will even send you my Pismo to hold in the meantime. so that you have collatoral.
