I rejuvenated a Palm screen using Johnson paste floor wax.
Usual process for wax applies: put it on thin, let it dry to a haze, buff it off with a clean cloth, rotating it frequently so any crud you remove doesn't add more scratches.
After that, slap on a screen protector (good ones can be made from overhead transparency sheets).
I'll give that a try!
