WTB: Virtual PC for Mac--needs to work with OS 9.2.2

I am looking for a copy of Virtual PC that I can run on a mac using 9.2.2. I want Windows 98se. I will be running it on a Wallstreet w/ 233mhz, 128ram. If anyone has a copy they want to part with please let me know. Otherwise I may be selling this Wallstreet to buy a PC laptop--and I definitely don't want to resort toi that.

You can use any version, to the best of my knowledge, with 9.2.2. However, you would probably be better off waiting a few months to buy VPC 7, when it comes out. It will have better speed and overall support for the Windows OS and the programs running on it. Hope this helps!

dsharits is right

I have version 2.1.3 (might actually be 2.1.1) and it works fine. The trick is, if you are going to get an older copy, (before Microsquish bought them out) you will not need to worry about having a license key code. If you have a more recent version (needed to run on X), you will have to have the key or it is worthless. I think this poppycock started around version 4 or 5.

I can vouch for the fact that my release will run up to 98SE and NT Workstation as well as NT Server. The version I have is just plain DOS, so if you have the install disks for 98SE your options are a little broader. If this version sounds okay to you send me a PM and let me know, we might be able to work something out.

Still looking...

I am still in the market for this software. I thought I had one coming but it seems to have fallen through. Unfortunately I am not able to bring my own OS. I am really looking for Virtual PC 3 with Win98. If anyone has a line on something like this cheap please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have a copy of VPC 3...I don't remember at this time what Windows OS came with it. I will have to check. I do have a full version of Windows 98SE on CD however.

Let me know.
