iTunes ID3 Woes

I have some music in my collection that wasn't ripped with iTunes, and it has incorrect track info. Windows Media Player 9 Series has a feature that searches CDDB with the info you have, lets you choose what you think is right, and then sets the file's ID3 tag to that. CDDB lets you search it on the web, but is there a way to automatically input this info into iTunes, with a special program or something? I have this program called Fetch Art that does this exact thing with, well, CD art. Even a program for Windows will help, my WMP isin't working right. Any ideas? I've searched the internet over and over, and the best I could come up with were some scripts that search various databases for you (but don't automatically add the info). thanks!

There are many, many free ID3

There are many, many free ID3 tag editors with built-in tag lookup. My favorite is K-MP3 from KC Softwares.

iEatBrainz

This is a great oportunity to hok my favorite tagging program, IEatBrainz. It reades the songs "acoustic fingerprint" and sends a cryptic ID to an online database. If the code matches anything on the database, even if you've got a somewhat garbled song file, it sends back all the info on that track, like artist, album, release date, etc. It then gives you the option to automatically add that info to the ID3 of each MP3/AAC.

I LOVE musicbrainz.org. I us

I LOVE musicbrainz.org. I used it to correctly identify about 85-95 percent of my mp3 collection (17934).

It took quite some time but it fixed so many broken mp3's (bad tags) in my collection.

MP3 Rage

Thanks everyone, but a friend hooked me up with MP3 Rage. It not only does CDDB lookup, but it also is an MP3 player in itself and has many, many options for ID3 tag editing. I will look into those though, because there are a few MP3s I have that CDDB did not find. Plus MP3 Rage has some issues, like crashing on certian songs, and not atuomatically picking the song most of the time (even if only one album shows up). Thanks for the replies and keep em coming for other people!
