I just came across a small cache (about a good dozen) of iMate 300s. These will be free to good home, but buyer pays shipping or must pick up. I am in North-East Florida and open to a swap-meet.
Availability is first-come and while supply lasts. These units are in fair physical condition. Most all are functional and include the chargers. Some uinits are missing the stylus pens. I will try to get ahold of as many accesories as I can to make complete packages, but no promises on success.
Please reply by PM unless the question is general in nature, in which case a post would be better.

I just realized my typo, they are Emate 300s.

How much would shipping be to 34655 Florida?
I am interested in providing a good home to one.
Daniel
I will be taking possesion of the units and will validate which ones work (all are suposed to, but I'd like to verify). All are supposed to have rechargers.
I will post back tomorrow with accurate numbers of the inventory and what percentage of them work/what's missing (i.e. the stylus thingy).
As of this moment, 7 are now spoken for.

I'm interested, I left a PM
If you can give me a quote on the price of the emate and shipping to california I would be interested.
I would be interested in one, I'm in central FL (32901)
Thanks,
I would LOVE to have one. Just let me know if I can take one off your hands and let me know how much I owe for shpping to 37187. Do you accept Paypal?
Thanks!!!
I Left you a PM containing address and stuff i definetly want one to add to my apple collection
Everyone who sent me a PM before my last post yesterday is covered in the seven I spoke of. Once I get my hands on the units and can confirm which ones work and their exact condition I will reply to all PMs.
I am not ignoring you.
For everyone who PMed after that, I am just waiting to ensure I have enough and will reply in the order PM received, and post made chronologically.
I will post replies lete tonight (US EST).

I would like one if they are still availble . I can pay via paypal for shipping to 03032 . Send me an email at desertknight00@yahoo.com , if you could with the price and I'll send you my address.
I just picked up the emates an hour ago and there are 19 of them. Some of them have notes attached indiating any known problems (i.e. shuts down for no reason, won't turn on,...). I will go through tonight and try to sort things out. I have 17 active requests for the units, so everyone that has already PMed or posted looks good, provided that I can get that many of the 19 to work okay.
Every unit has a recharger, but none of them have the stylus. I have only one software packet with only one Connectivity CD. I will use this to slick the machines. I will try to see if I can burn off copies to include when I ship.
Again, you will be getting an emate 300, with recharger , and a copy of the connectivity CD (if I can do this - my burner is acting up and I don't have many blanks on hand). Look for PM/email in the next two days cuz it will take me that long to get everything ready to ship and figure the cost(s).

If you are still selling then please email me at ipreston@hmc.edu becuase I am very interested.
Ian
I will be going by Fed Ex today to got everything boxed for shipping, I will PM you tonight with the cost of shipping and to confirm everything. I will also be sending PMs to the folks that have asked and I cannot provide for (unless I have already sent a PM).
Out of 19 units, the final count is three are dead, and five have bad batteries so they only work with the power supply. I have some spare batteries and will try these before the unit(s) ship. I will hang on to the non-functional units for now as I have something in mind for them.
And no, I have not kept a functional unit for myself.

I'd just like to say that even tho I was too late emailing and missed getting my hands on one of these, it's really cool that Doug_Doug offered this deal.
You rock dude!

Ditto,
I think that you are the only person that is generous enough to give away 19 eMates and not even keep one for yourself. 3 cheers for doug-doug the mighty!
Hip-Hip!
I agree. This is extremely nice of you. :macos:
I dropped the first group of eMates off at the postal place. I only shipped ten, because that is how many folks confirmed the shipping address. If you have received a private mesaage from me (today), you were one of those ten.
I forgot to mention in the PMs that I never was able to restore the original software on the eMates because of an inability to connect on my hardware vice the problem being the eMates themselves - so you will need to do a system restore yourself. Please review the user guide for details on this. You may also find a few documents already stored on the machines , and a few have some packages installed on them that may disappear when you restore. The units were previously used by a school and had some things 'left-over' on them.
I also under-estimated shipping for everybody because I neglected the weight from the packing materials. This translated into a $3.60 shortage. Consequently, 'gifts' are greatly appreciated, but not expected since I am at fault for this. With the other things I expect to be selling in a few months, it should all even out.
Enjoy!

Thanks again to Doug for doing this; I think it's really great of him, and really selfless to allow us to embrace our compulsive addictions while denying his own desire for an emate (and I'm sure he wants one). In all events, MegaMacs.com is clearing out Emate styli, so if you want one that will fit in the slick little slot in the Emate, it might something to check out. I think I may order one in anticipation of receiving mine new 'mate.
All,
Tom
As many as I can find for my students at school.
Thanks,
Allen
I appologize if I'm coming into this one late, usually always do, if there's a unit left over, I'd be willing to pay shipping and a bit extra, never gotten a chance to play around with an iMate, always wanted to though!
Hi,
Need an emate LCD screen to replace a cracked one. Was wondering if you have any non-working emates that could be scavenged for parts. (A fully functional one would be even better. I always seem to find them when it's too late).
Thanks for any info,
soupbone
I have many many Newtons:
OMP-3
100-2
110-3
120-6
130-4
2000-24
2100-31
eMate 300-5
Prototypes -2
I can pay $25 per and I will cover shipping to 46350. As I love newtons. Please let me know.
I have no more to give out right now and will let you folks all know when I get more on hand. I have had more askers than I can handle and have not been able to respond to everyone, my apologees for that.
At this time, the remaining few I have are spoken for.
I will atart a new thread when I have more to offer.

Hopefully those who got one of these from me are still getting notices off of this post...
I have come across some parts for these machines. One of the folks who recieved an eMate recieved it DOA. I cannot remeber who, but I have some spare parts on hand and may be able to work something out. I cannot remember who it was, but I would like to see if I can help you get the machine up and running. I know who I dealt with, but cannot find the specific PMs in which the problem was discussed.
