I'm getting a 450mhz G4 AGP desktop from a friend next week. One of the first things I'm going to do, of course, is upgrade the processor. I ran across an interesting article on xlr8:

What I want to know is which dual processor cards (original, not 3rd-party) will work in the machine I'm about to get. Also, are there any problems with this kind of setup with OS X?
Thanks.
Not all Sawtooths can accept a dual processor. Here is a link to an application that will tell you if your Sawtooth will accept a dual processor module.

As far as which modules will work, I believe only the modules made for the Sawtooth (Dual 400, Dual 450, and Dual 500) will work with your machine properly. I think you can put in others (466, 533, etc) but they won't run at full speed without a 133mhz bus.
Thank you. I'll check out the link and see if my "new" machine can be cheaply dualed up.
