Anybody tried a USB card in an older HP laserjet with OSX?

Looking for anybody who has purchased the J4135 USB card for an older MIO laserjet or the J3111A USB card for the LJ 5si, 8000, 8100, 8150 EIO slot. I've got plenty of memory and Postcript modules installed. I wanted to use the duplexer feature, as well.
I can get the cards installed, just wanted advice on the OSX side, Tiger 10.4. Thanks!

Why not just get a jet direct and use a network connection.

Cheers,

Agree, the JetDirect card (600N should work in what you're listing if I remember correctly). Wouldn't surprise me you already have it, I very rarely see printers like that without the jetdirect. If not, is almost certainly cheaper than the USB card, and I've never had any trouble with any network hp laser printers on OSX as IP Printers. You can setup appletalk, which may make it compatible with an older OS, but I've run into some issues with that.

There is a wireless jetdirect, I'm not positive if that works with the older HP printers, and it's quite expensive last I looked, I probably wouldn't go with this, see what your other options are first.
