Hi
I have an JAMECO 16K RAM card that is currently in slot 0 of my Apple II plus. It also has a ribbon cable that plugged into the IC location E1. Does anyone know what was the original IC that went in this slot? I need to replace the chip in to debug a couple of minor problems.
Also, my power indicator light is out (missing). I have the Apple II PLUS that has the power indicator button flush with the system. Anyone know what kind of bulb and voltage rating that went in there?
And lastly. I am still looking for an old Apple II PLUS/IIe keyboard or parts. Any place current that may have these?

RAM was in that socket. A 4116... look at the other 7 in that row.
A while back, I measured my original keyboard lamp. It drew about 100 milliamps at 5 volts. You should be able to find something similar in a hobby store that stocks model railroad supplies. Ask for a 5 or 12 volt "grain of rice" or "grain of wheat" light bulb. The 12 volt one will be dimmer, but should work fine and last longer. Bring your existing one in, to make sure the new one will not be too big. Even so, once you plug in the replacement, I would check the temperature, just to make sure that the new one doesn't get too hot under there.

I should have known that. since the Appple II Plus memory bank is organized as 3 banks of eight 4116 (for a total of 48K).... And I'm a microprocessor designer for that big "I"..... But again, I just pulled the apple from my closet shelf after some 22 years sitting there.... Oh well. Thanks for the info

Hi Mike, Thanks for this information. Most helpful. However, the bulb is missing. I kind of remember what it looked like. A flat topped mulb with two straight copper pins. The keyboard? Yes, I will visit and drop you a message. Thanks Mike!
