The first thing I would do it make it like the Voyager with a "Real Keyboard" not the on-screen chicklet keyboard is it horrible! Two I would make it so the camera could take video I mean comon a 2.0 MP camera needs more uses. Third is SMS and IM'ing I would make sure it has an onboard Instantmessenger and SMS should be able to send videos and pictures. I've been reading and the iPhone seems flawed in my eyes.

Have you used one on a regular basis? I use my iPod Touch on a daily basis and don't find the keyboard problematic, though I wouldn't write anything substantial on it.
HSDPA, GPS, 32GB capacity, and an OLED display. As it is, it's by far the most impressive first generation Apple product ever, and easily the best phone interface on the market.
I agree, the virtual keyboard on my Touch isn't horrible once I learned to type on it. However, it's more difficult to use both thumbs to type on it than, say, my BlackBerry's keypad.
I don't mean bigger physically, but bigger capacity. If they can include a 1000mah battery in my little $13 phone and I can get 336 hours of standby time out of it (11 (!) hours of talk), why can't they do the same to a phone as expensive as the iPhone? I demand a minimum of 300 hours of standby, and 6 hours of talk. Also, making it removable would be nice.
Not to mention bumping up the ruggedness factor a bit would be great. I know the screen is really scratch resistant (nothing short of a diamond from what I have heard), but I have seen it break, plus the little plastic antenna cover I have seen get really worn, at least on demo units.

The iPhone's battery is 1400mah and Apple says it's good for 250 hours standby or 8 hours of talk. Obviously that's under ideal conditions, but in real world usage, that's four or five days you can go without charging it. Not that I'd ever try that... my days of using Treos, the Nokia N80, and the Motorola Q have left me with an array of car and mains chargers. I'm sure a 3G iPhone would have an even larger battery, to negate the increased power draw.
I've been using an iPhone since December, here's my wish list:
1) a more customizable browser, mostly because on a small mobile device with limited bandwidth and speed, it's best to browse with images off, and definitely ads.
2)another button or two on the outside, programmable to call up whatever function I decide. Takes too long to do things from sleep. Button-slider-close application that was previously open-open application I want. Also, some way of skipping the damn slider.
3)FLASH. Yeah, I hate flash too, but it's annoying that while YouTube videos get a whole application for themselves, you can't view embedded videos from YouTube, which is a huge part of a lot of websites now.
4)Enough ram that it can cache web pages. It's very frustrating to have loaded a page, open maybe one or two other windows, or go to another application, and it has to load the page all over again?
5) I'm sure I'll think of more later.
Overall, though, I've been pretty impressed with it. I'm still waiting though to see what happens when 3rd party applications arrive. Which has taken waaaaaay too long IMO.
I would make the iPhone work seamlessly using wireless TCP/IP for internet, especially voice over internet protocol (VOIP.)
I think we'll see a new iPhone on Monday or at the very least - within the next few days. According the Apple Store online - they are "Currently Unavailable". Methinks that they ran out of stock and are waiting for the ATT stores and individual Apple stores to run out of inventory.
