I have an Apple II+ , and want to improve the apple's memory.... I remember back in the day , that there were certain rom boards that one could use , to beef up the apple's memory from 64k to 128K , infact I remember there was a board that I had at one time , that actaully had DOS 3.3 on it! And when I would bootup the apple , it would drop to a DOS promt and I could actually do basic commands right from there! Catalog , etc... but getting back to the board , if someone could suggest a board , that would be great , this way I could run Apple //e programs on my II+
Thanks.

One board was the Apple Rom board with a toogle switch on the board that stuck outside the back of the case. So you could toogle it.
There were a number of Ram boards. 16k to give you 64K and a few 64k to give you 128k. The Saturn and Legend are 2 that come to mind. They may need special software to acess the other 64k. I know I have some Saturn Software. But this would not let you run APPLE IIe software on a II+ for the most part. Maybe there might be one or two titles.
But it is not a IIe, no matter how much ram you put in it. Even a slinky card with 1meg.
Take Care
So true So true....
thanks for the info :O)
