Hello, I just obtained the motherboard of an iMac G3 from a relative. Only the motherboard with the metal case, the hard drive, and some RAM too. I was wondering, could I remove the processor and insert it into a Power Mac G3 blue and white tower? If I can, I need some guidance on removing the processor from the iMac motherboard. If I can't, is there a way I can connect the motherboard to a power unit and display and make it work. If you have the information, I would like to know. Thank you.

you can not swap processors... they have different pin arrangements and won't fit in the other computer's processor socket.
Can I connect a power supply and display to one of the connectors on the motherboard? I know there's a socket somewhere.
Once again, it's amazing what a Google search will find.
That's for an early revision iMac. If you've got a slot-loader, keep going through Google as well as here for "iMac to ATX"
I saw the site. I know what to do, but what do you do for video conversion??? Where is the output for video and how do you convert it. If anyone knows, please tell me. Thank you.
