I'm going to admit, i'm starting to feel like a spammer starting so many threads lately, but I got another issue with this new 12" Powerbook. The battery only has 84 cycles on it and when fully charged it claims to have 2 hours to go. Everything is fine until i hit around 70% then it just goes into sleep mode. No warning no nothing. I plug in the carger and it shows 0%. Now I've reset the PMU and the PRAM and it still does this. Are there any other battery tricks you guys know that I might be able to try? I really don't want to buy another battery just yet and 30 min of use is basically worthless. It just seems like there should be much more life in this battery than there is.

The battery that came with my REV A. 867 12" did that as well. Brought it into the apple store and after they scratched their heads for a while decided to just replace it under warranty. You could check if its one of the batteries thats under the recall (are they still doing that?) Or they might be able to help in some other way. My 3rd battery worked fine, but somehow the tabs snapped off that holds it in, the guys at the apple store gave me one of the new Al keyboards for 5$, so they might be able to help you out.
Hmm, maybe thats just something these batteries did then. Unfortunately its not one of the ones in the recall. How nice that would have been. I don't have an actual Apple Store nearby, but I have an authorized reseller here in town. Maybe I'll drop in and see if they can help me out.
