PC2700 RAM in 12" Powerbook

Hey everybody. My girlfriend just bought an 867MHz 12" Powerbook G4 off ebay. Its only coming with 256mb of RAM. I know half of that is built in, so the other stick has gotta come out to upgrade. My question is this. Can I use a stick of 200 pin PC 2700 RAM from my old Mac Mini in here temporarily? This model calls for PC2100. I know that with older ram PC133 is backwards compatable with PC100 etc, so i was just curious if this 2700 would work in a 2100 slot. Thanks guys.

And the mini RAM (if its a PP

And the mini RAM (if its a PPC) is full sized DIMM, the PB takes a SO-DIMM. The Intel minis take SO-DIMMs.

True, but they're DDR2, so they still won't work in a PowerBook.

You mean PC5300? Nope, because that's DDR2, which won't work (or even physically fit) in a PowerBook. All the faster RAM you could try would be PC3200, which is the fastest DDR(1) available. Really, though, PC2700 laptop modules are cheap on eBay; you could buy a 1GB mdoule for like $50.

Cool, thats what I was thinking. I'm not all that familliar with DDR RAM, so I thought I should double check. I have to say I'm kinda hooked on it now. I love my MacBook Pro, but that 12" is so tiny and light. I think I may have to get one sometime soon.
