Problems running OM player

So I tried to d/l and run the OM players linked by Dr. W in the Dock thread. Both fail to start and give a message like this:

/Users/jon/Desktop/OMG Folder/OM Green Player.app/Contents/MacOS/OM Green Player[2238] Launch failed with error code -2857 (cfragCFragRsrcErr) for application /Users/jon/Desktop/OMG Folder/OM Green Player.app/Contents/MacOS/OM Green Player

I'm trying on a fully updated Mac mini running OS X 10.4.9.

Any ideas? There isn't much to go on from the website for it, so I thought I'd ask around here.

well...

it is a PPC app... is your mini Intel? Maybe you found an app that doesn't work under Rosetta?
Maybe try the blue player?

2 more sugs

diskutil repairPermissions /
(but that never works, but I've had permissions problems with my Desktop before, and that's where you seem to be running it from... maybe create an Applications folder in your ~ and launch from there)

or create a new user... see if the new user can make it go... if so, that means something, but I know not exactly what

Linked by me, it was!

I had trouble getting it going on my G5 at work, and using Onyx to repair permissions, etc. did the trick.

Ah, my faulty memory due to software corruptions, eh? Wink I'll give Onyx a shot, as DU didn't help.

EDIT: Permissions repair and prebinding update/optimize didn't help. Anything else to try?
