So far I have bumped my head twice on my iMac monitor...from the hohum announcements. Is there really that many people that give a crap about downloading movies? Can't one buy one cheaper in the used vhs and dvd bin at Blockbuster etc?
As for the iTV...need more updates. Sounds like eye candy for the living room, but I am listening though.
Candy Nanos! Boy Apple just can't get away from the candy flavored items.
I'm a little confused...
@ to Engaget:
yet... the mention of HDTV...
What is the max resolution you can rip things to play on iPod (forget optimized for the screen, forget file size)? Is the iPod fast enough to decode HDTV?
... as long as I can make a backup copy of my downloaded movie onto a DVD-R...
I think it will all depend on the DRM as to how successful this will be.
***EDIT***
Um... nevermind... just saw the $14.99 and $9.99 price tags. I can buy movies brand new on DVD for the same, then rip'em for my iPod copy.
Nope... not worth it.
Some cool news that got buried by the product announcements today...
Anandtech found the new Mac Pros will accept a pair of quad-core Clovertown CPUs. OS X recognized all eight cores out of the box.
Linky
pretty neato... the hackable mac is back.
So... who sells clovertowns?
Nobody, yet. They're still in engineering sample stage.
