I don't know that removing the cache would help. Please try and describe where the computer hangs in more detail.
Also, have you tried booting it without the PDS AV card connected to the pass thru?
runs fine without the PDS av card attached to the pass thru the cache module has been removed too.. 640x480 on a 1710 is hell
Sounds like the 8100 that was STOLEN from me by Dr_Zoidberg aka Steve Landon. If any one else got stiffed by this guy e-mail me, i have my attorney gathering the info to file charges against him for theft. PM me or e-mail me.
If you got the 8100 from him, that's probably my old NewerTech card too. Should have come with the box and software in that case.
As for you problem, when I benched the card in a 6100 and an AV card attached to the passthru it worked fine. So, i'd suggest you find the latest software/extensions you can, boot it clean (I think theres a key you hold down to disable extensions while booting), install/replace software/extensions, cross fingers/pray to your god/hope and reboot. Oh yeah, before you reboot, find the CUDA/Programmer's Switch (it's on the mainboard somewhere) to clear that out, and reset your PRAM too.
