GP2X

Does anyone have a GP2X? I might be getting one but if it sucks, well... y'know the drill...

Nope, but...

Never owned one, but they look mighty cool. Check out Hackaday.com for news on the Zaurus Linux UI being ported, with working USB Host mode. This turns it into a totally useable general purpose computing platform - USB MIDI, audio, NICs, wireless, keyboards, mice etc etc etc

On third thought, I might wait for the MS UMPC. (Blasphemy, I know...)

With luck perhaps there might be an Apple product with similar ideas.

Is that the new mini-tablet/ wireless remote desktop thing? createdigitalmusic.com suggests they're a waste of money, an underpowered, overpriced, too-small tablet. Tablets are around the same price point, more powerful and have a bigger screen.

Still, you're talking $2k there, not under $200. I would love to pony up for a GP2X just to see.

Interesting...

I wonder if there could be a port of that to a 68k Mac with some form of Linux on it... Then you could run OS X apps on a classic Mac! I'll try installing it on a few different things...
