This is on ebay now:
The description says "This is the earliest revision board put into an apple II plus. This revision of 820-0001-03 is a revision that is pretty rare and have read some resources with questions of whether this revision was even ever released. This came from an Apple ii plus with a low serial around 03100. And is completely working and tested. The board has handwritten date code from 1979. "
Based on the registry project (Link: here ), doesn't that indicate that this board is not a II+ but a II, and not that low a serial?

Nevermind, I'm not thinking straight, there was board rev overlap, so this is plausible, I guess.
jsa, if you look at his other items for sale he is selling the whole machine off in pieces. I saw the shell with original box etc first, then the motherboard and then some of the cards.
The machine has a S/N of 3162 and the date code on the mobo is not out of the ordinary. If anything I expected it to be lower.
You can have the original box, case and mobo for about $550.00 if you buy both parts!!
