I acquired an empty Apple II+ case with a keyboard, encoder and cable. I thought it would make the perfect case for my Replica I. I hooked up the keyboard and got nothing. I have never seen an Apple II keyboard connector before so I am wondering it it is possibly broken. The cable comes out to a 16 pin connector and only has 14 pins. Two pins on the end are missing, making two rows of 7 pins. Is this correct or do I need to make/buy a new cable?

two broken pins on one end probably means the keyboard isn't getting proper power - you need to either replace the connector or get a new cable.
digikey.com part number H6MMS-1618G-ND will probably work
