Hello everyone! I have recently acquired an Apple IIc and I went to run my software for my Apple IIe on it, and most of it works correctly. When I went to load up Merlin 8 assembler, or Modem MGR, or even the original Apple System Utilities (for 128k IIe and IIc) it complains that it is not 128k. I have attached a photo below of the screen it shows for ProTerm.

Re: Software complains my IIc is not 128k?

I dug in further. I found out my ROM was the original v255 which includes no self test and a few bugs. So, I pulled it and burned v4 to a 27C256 EPROM, and upon running the self test I found out my Aux RAM #5 chip has gone bad. I've ordered some RAM chips and as soon as I get it soldered in, I will update this post with the results.

Bad ram seems to be the #1 cause of failures and is rather easily found.
