Have an Apple IIc Plus, and purchased from eBay an A2M4015 mouse for it. Sadly, the cursor would move in all directions except for the left. After a great deal of web searches, came across this piece, which told me in short that the mouse I purchased could not work. So then I looked further and found this statement, which explained that only a mouse made for the Apple IIc was guaranteed to work.
So, in short the A2M4015 won't work, and the M0100 mouse is not likely to work on my Apple IIc Plus. I need a mouse designed specifically for the Apple IIc. If you have one, please drop me a line. Thanks!
They are hard to find, took me five months to find mine, and paid pretty penny for it. eBay has one right now:

Thanks for the spot, but just picked one up here.
If this one doesn't work, its got to be the machine itself.
You got it from a great place, I bought from him before, very trustable. I'm curious, will take out my //c plus tonight and try my m100, and report back.

You are correct: just fired up my //c + and tried the M0100, only moves up and down. Connected the Mouse //c and works flawless. Now, Why? Can we maybe mod the M0100 so you can use it? My mouse model is A2M4035.

Thanks for the system check - really looks like I'll have to find a IIc mouse for a reasonable price. Have placed the ebay mouse on my watch list, but I'm not willing to pay more than $25 for a mouse at this point.
May end up having to modify my computer to allow my current mouse to work - problem being I have no idea how to do that.
Yeah, at this point that's the sensible thing to do. I wouldn't mess with the //c plus hardware. Hope you find it, lately people try to get outrageous prices for old stuff...
Good luck

Just in case it's still relevant, just bought an A2M4015 mouse and works perfect in my //c+ using Proterm. Haven't tested other programs that use mice,
but I suppose it will work too.- Confirmed, Dazzle Draw works fine with this mouse too.Javster
