I need something self running.
I am planning on showing at VCF east the differences between a rev-0 Apple II and a rev-4 as part of my exhibit.
I am about finished completely rebuilding two identical Sony KV9200 trinitron TVs from the mid 1970's
Now all that is left is to decide on what to display.
Any suggestions????
Thanks,
Cheers,
Corey
Very nice, I am considering doing something similar for VCFSE!
I would think having something age appropriate for each of them would be good - I was thinking something like Akalabeth for the Rev 0 and Karateka or Crossfire or similar game on the later Rev system.
Best of luck!

Well it isn't really a demo in the demoscene sense, but the double hires game AirHeart has a self-running demonstration of the gameplay.
I think it needs a IIe. No double hi-res and Rev 0 boards can only use four colors in hi-res mode (Black, white, violet, and green)
My VCF East display will show that difference, the color killer and the fact the Rev-0 had a weird thing they did to the top of the screen related to video sync.
try one one of the atarisoft games - they are in hi-res and probably use all the colors of later version PCBs
also Apple had a hi-res demo on tape - I don't know which color palette it used. back in the day I moved it to floppy, but don't remember how to run it from floppy anymore
whether you see the video flagging problem on the rev 0 boards is very dependant upon the video monitor in use

subLOGIC Music Maker, using the Kaleidoscopic Maestro. There's also the Print Shop's "Screen Magic" module that does fractals. ... You know, if you're looking for something psychedelic.
BRUN "COLOR DEMO"
BRUN "COLOR DEMO"
Pick 3 for Kaleidoscope, I think.
Color demo is too short...
Now if my brain can take the music, I'm leaning towards Burger Time in demo mode. The color differences are really big between the rev-0 and rev-4. It also has enough on the screen to see the video flagging problem.
I see, so it's hi-res that shows the difference. Rev 0 still has all the same colors in lo-res...
Found the best demo...
The Graphics Magician, has a demo that is awesome.... Found it on youtube and downloaded the DSK image.
Here's another vote for Print Shop Screen Magic.
The Fantavision demo.
I can't wait to see this. See you there!
Hello Corey986,
don't forget the Beagle Bros. !
They had plenty graphic tools for HGR and DHGR
and most of them have been also equipped with cool selfrunning demo's !
