Does anyone know the software/hardware used to extract the data from the EPROMs on the Twiggy Macs? The reason I ask is that I recently came across a Mac 128k prototype. It's non-twiggy, but it has the 512k EPROM riser board with Mr. Macintosh on it, and four EPROM chips. They have hand-written labels like the Twiggy Macs. I'll definitely post more about this later once I examine it a bit further. Is there a way to perform a ROM dump with just software, or is a special hardware component needed? Also, once the ROMs are extracted, how would I go about disassembling them and analyzing their code?
