Hello,
My Macintosh SE/30 do not boot !
He works well with mac os 7.5 but after a brutal shutdown (I forgot to shutdown the system before cutting power) I got the problem.
Now the system start to boot (I see the ram doubler message) then stop and show a white window with a bomb and then hang.
A button is draw in this window but he has no label... Thats all.
How can I recover the system ? I found them in a attic and I have no boot floppies.
Thanks for the help. Regards.
Philippe
Sounds like maybe an extension issue or perhaps you need to rebuild the desktop. Hold down the shift key and turn it on, continue holding down the shift key until you see Extensions Off and see if it boots. Then you could use the Extensions Manager in the control panel to disable them all then re-enable them one by one until you find the offending one (perhaps Ram Doubler is the problematic one).
To rebuild the desktop, you would hold the Command and Option keys down then turn it on until you see a prompt asking you if you want to REbuild the Desktop.
Try the Extensions bypass first however.
Thanks thellmer !
Will try asap and give more informations.

yours sounds like a software problem. mine keep blowing the cap at C10 (47uF 20v tantalum)...
