Hello all,
Hoping someone can help me out with my Classic Memory problem.
I am following this great resouce, https://lowendmac.com/2016/memory-upgrades-mac-classic/
Without the memory expansion card my Classic boots with 1024K of memory. As expected.
With memory expansion card, jumper on Simm Not Installed, Classic boots with 2048K. As expected.
With memory expansion card, 2 x 1 MB simms installed, jumper moved, Classic boots with 2560k?. Not as expected
I am stumped
Are those supposed to be 1 MB SIMMs?
From the part number I am guessing those are only 256k SIMMs.
I am thinking so... darn. I thought I might get lucky. Some places say they are 1MB, some say 2MB and some say 256k...
If you could post a photo of the other side of the modules (showing the RAM chips) we should be able to tell for sure what capacity they are.
