So yesterday I got this weird feeling, after work, to swing by the Goodwill store in my neighborhood. The last time I got this feeling, I picked up a working Apple ///, external drive, and Monitor /// for $50.00. I posted pictures here and it was about two years ago.
I got to the store last night and it did look like they got more stuff in since the last time I was there a month or so ago. I was tired and almost bagged it, but said "what the heck?"
Well, good thing I followed my gut, They had a nice (but yellowed) Apple //c+ (yes that's right a plus) just sitting on the shelf. I looked at the price tag and it said $25.00 so I grabbed and paid for it, and even rounded up to donate to Goodwill like I always do and the grand total came to $28.00. This goes down in my collecting history as the cheapest Apple //c+ I purchased. I now have six of them.
The diagnostics passed and it booted from the Floppy and my FloppyEMU and it works perfectly.
There was only one small issue. The ["/'] key was broken. I took a key from a 1980s Mac keyboard. It works, put it is not perfect since it is at a different angle. (If anyone has one and wants to sell it, PM me)
I posted pics of it.
Thanks,
Jay
